Martha Sarasua, M.D., Ph.D.

Yes, Dr. Martha is a REAL doctor, doctor with impressive academic achievements in science and medicine.

Her students even gave her a trophy for the professor with the most doctors by their name. Yet, her patients and friends would say that one would never guess from her humble, kind, compassionate and “laid-back” ways.

She is considered a local pioneer in scientific-based holistic healing, but her fame goes far beyond...

Dr. Martha lectured at Oxford University in England on her brain research involving neuro-cardial field feedback treatment of traumatic brain injury and PTSD.  What in the heck is a neuro-cardial field?  Dr. Martha would just say “brain-heart interaction” as she believes having a brain separate from a heart is not very fun at all!  The road continues….

Dr. Martha taught Psychology and Chemistry at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, retiring after 27 years in 2020 to pursue her research and expand her interests in natural healing modalities.  She maintains a small, part-time practice in Neuropsychiatry and Natural Medicine in Pensacola.   She has studied and practiced the ancient medicine traditions of India, Tibet, and China for over 25 years.  In addition, she has traveled to Mexico, New Zealand, and the American Indian reservations in the U.S. for over 10 years to study the traditional healing ways of the indigenous peoples there.  No brain-heart separation ever found in those traditions!

Some of her colleagues have derided her as a “witch doctor” for such “unscientific pursuits.” Dr. Martha considers this title a great honor, but one she feels she does not deserve (others would disagree).   Many colleagues flock to her, though, for learning the new-old ways.  Anyway, Dr. Martha feels her major life path is to bridge science and spirit, marking the return of humanity and our planet to a more peaceful, sustainable and joyful existence.  Most of all, she just likes to make people laugh.  “The world has been heavy with sorrow far too long. The more joy we give, the more healing occurs. A single smile can change the future in ways unexpected and magical. Just do it!”  Let Dr. Martha show you how by telling her stories and taking you on healing journeys… there may make be some tears, but there is always a lot of laughter at the end.

Follow the magical road for the truth behind the REAL Dr. Martha, as she wears many hats, but has one great big loving soul!  So the journey begins…
